About the Club
Stone and District Rotary Club was officially formed on the 5th July, 1939 at a dinner to mark the granting of its Charter of Incorporation. Since that time, the Club has been embedded in the local community and its members have always been making a difference.
Today, this small, friendly, Club continues the tradition of raising funds for community projects and has an outstanding reputation for the excellent work that we do. Our members don’t just raise money but are actively involved in other local organisations too. As one of its founders, club members are involved in the annual Stone Festival as well as other groups like the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Drop-in Club. Members have so far raised £64,360.00 for BBC Children in Need over the last twenty-five years. Take a look at some of the projects that we have completed in our News and projects sections.
We are fortunate to have a mix of members from young to old. As well as working hard for the community, we have fun, taking part in local competitions such as ten pin bowling, snooker, croquet and crown green bowling along with many social events and get-togethers.
Visitors to our Club are always welcome so why not come along and find out more about what we do…you will be very welcome.
