Stone and District Rotary Club are part of a Rotary Books4Home scheme which collates donations of books for children and distributes them so that they can select and take home a book to read and keep for ever.

It is hoped in this way, that it will help children develop a life-long love of reading and raise standards of literacy.

The Club collected over 240 children’s books for St Michael’s CofE School in Stone along with a trolley on which they are displayed.

Improving literacy is important and members of the Club were delighted to participate in this regional Rotary initiative.
